Transatlantic Wedding Message

Both the Old Dear and Trnce have made it safely [1. 1 I say that. I know the Old Dear made it there. No word yet from Trnce. Given the issues he had getting to the airport I was half expecting a news report that a 747 had encountered a problem on the runway and that a balding gentlemen was being escorted away from the airport having offered to fix it by ‘hitting it a few times with this hammer’. I haven’t heard that, so I’m going to assume that he made it there. Or at least, somewhere] across the Atlantic to Hornby Island where tomorrow my brother will be getting married!

It’s a very small affair, but even if the world and his wife had been invited we wouldn’t have been able to make it, so before he went to bed this evening, Curig helped me put together a little video message for the happy couple.

We all wish you the very best guys. Hope you have a great day and we can’t wait to celebrate with you when you make it back over to these parts!

Found it!!!

If I’m honest, I never thought I was going to see this blog again. I thought I’d accidentally deleted the database without making a backup and I’d consigned myself to never getting this stuff back.

You have no idea how pleased I am to discover that I was wrong, and it’s still all here, but an autoupgrade seems to have changed a database username and that was the cause of the problem!!!

Col. Singing.

Col was the ‘featured artist’ on BBC Radio Devon introducing last night, and by the magic of iplayer, audacity and a small mini-jack to mini-jack lead, I managed to record it.

I doubt he’ll put them up on his site, he’s too bloody fussy, but for anyone else that’s interested, the tracks are below.

You can still buy his EP and see what else he’s up to over at colestacey.net

Long time, no blogging

It’s been nearly a whole year since the last post here, mainly due to the fact that parenthood seems to leave very little time for writing about parenthood. Much of the progress of the last few months can be followed over on Flickr and Twitter.

There’s loads of other online shenanigans that I’ve been meaning to get round to, and failing, including a Twitter account for Curig which we’ll probably set up over half term. Anyway, enough excuses, on with the next post…

B minus 17

Came Home. Sionedwyn and Janet had done lots of cleaning, washing and ironing.

Had bath.

Went to bed.

Trying again

So the only way I could fix the break was to create a new database. Luckly, the four posts I’d made here were at best vacuious so I don’t feel like I’ve really lost anything.

Anyway, a few tweaks to be made and we’ll be back!
